Hasta ahi\u0301 llego\u0301 su pequen\u0303o hijo y pregunto\u0301: \u00bf\u00bbTATA,\u201d LE AYUDO?&#8212; Sin levantar la vista el papa\u0301 contesto\u0301 con preguntas: \u00bfYA HIZO SU TAREA? \u201c&#8211;\u00abSI, TATA\u00bb &#8212; \u00bfMETIO\u0301 LOS CHIVOS? &#8211;\u201cSI, TATA\u201d &#8212; \u00bfRECOGIO\u0301 LOS HUEVOS? \u2013 \u201cSI, TATA\u201d, TRES CANASTAS &#8212; \u00bfACARREO\u0301 EL AGUA? &#8212; SI, TATA, LLENE TRES BALDES &#8212; \u00bfLLEVO\u0301 LA LEN\u0303A QUE CORTE\u0301 A SU MAMA\u0301? &#8212; \u201cSI, TATA\u201d, DOS VIAJES DE BURRO.ESTA BUENO, A\u0301NDELE PUES, DESGRANE. Sentado y en silencio el nin\u0303o comenzo\u0301 a desgranar. Casi terminaban y el pequen\u0303o pregunto\u0301: \u00bfTATA, ME DA PERMISO DE HABLAR CON USTED?, &#8212; CLARO \u00abMIJO\u00bb. \u00bfPARA QUE SOY BUENO? &#8212; El nin\u0303o le dijo con tristeza: \u00abTATA\u00bb ES QUE MI AMIGO REMIGIO LE REGALO\u0301 A SU TATA UNA CAMISA LINDA\u00bb &#8212;MMMHH, \u00bfEL QUE NO AYUDA EN NADA A SUS TATAS?&#8211; \u00abSI TATA, ESE\u00bb &#8212; HUUM, \u00bfY  LUEGO?&#8211; MI AMIGO JACINTO LE DIO A SU TATA UN SOMBRERO DE PIEL NEGRA, MUY BONITO &#8212; HUMM, \u00bfEL QUE NO LLEVA TAREAS ? &#8211;\u00abSI TATA\u201d, ESE &#8212; HUMM \u00bfY  LUEGO? &#8212;TORIBIO LE REGALO\u0301 A SU TATA UNOS ZAPATOS DE PIEL &#8212;-HUMM \u00bfEL QUE LO AGARRARON ROBANDO HUEVOS?&#8212; \u00a1SI \u201cTATA\u201d ESE!.&#8211; Y asi\u0301 el nin\u0303o le fue diciendo lo que sus amigos habi\u0301an comprado a sus pap\u00e1s. Al final el papa\u0301 pregunto\u0301: \u00bfY CUAL ES SU PREOCUPACIO\u0301N \u00abMIJO\u00bb?&#8212; ES QUE YO ESTUVE JUNTANDO PARA DARLE UN REGALO A USTED, PERO AL CRUZAR POR EL PUENTE COLGANTE, SE ME CAYO\u0301 AL RI\u0301O LA BOLSITA CON EL DINERO Y PUES, NO TENGO PARA SU REGALO. &#8212; \u00bfY ESO LE PREOCUPA \u00abMIJO\u00bb? &#8212; SI TATA, PORQUE HOY ES DI\u0301A DEL TATA Y YO QUERI\u0301A DARLE A USTED UN REGALO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aquel hombre de manos duras y piel tostada por el sol, se levanto\u0301 el sombrero, rasca\u0301ndose un costado de la cabeza dijo: DESPREOCU\u0301PESE \u00abMIJO\u00bb, LOS REGALOS NO HABLAN, NO OBEDECEN, NO AYUDAN, SE DESGASTAN Y SE TIRAN, YO NO SOY  SU TATA PORQUE USTED ME DE\u0301 UN REGALO, \u00a1NO!&#8230; \u201cTATA\u201c LO SOY PORQUE LO TENGO  A USTED. \u00bfPARA QUE QUIERO REGALOS?&#8230;YO LE ASEGURO QUE TODOS ESOS \u201cTATAS\u201d, QUISIERAN TENER UN HIJO ASI\u0301 COMO USTED, OBEDIENTE, RESPETUOSO, CARIN\u0303OSO. PERO NO LO TIENEN, \u00a1LO TENGO YO Y ES MI\u0301O!, Y NO LO TENGO POR UN DI\u0301A, \u00a1LO TENGO POR MUCHOS AN\u0303OS!&#8230;\u00bfPARA QUE QUIERO REGALO DE UN DI\u0301A, SI USTED ES MI MEJOR REGALO?. Aquel nin\u0303o conmovido se acerco\u0301 y lo abrazo\u0301.
